Basic information

This project of broiler poultry farm is located in one of the most civilized country and its purpose is to attain a successful poultry farming using broiler breeder cage. This project has to deal with 50,000 broilers in a single farm with automatic harvesting system. The total is 5 houses keeping 250,000 broilers. Every poultry house is equipped with 3 rows and 4 tiers case, 24 sets and 4 rows. The house sets is 720 making the total keep of 51,840 broilers

The house dimension, the length is 80.0m and width is 12.0m, height 4.08m. This broiler breeder cage is equipped with the followings, feeding line and drinking line, automatic harvesting system and lightening system. The broiler breeder cage is equipped with full automatic machine which can be feed a large capacity in one house which reduces the land area and building cost. The broiler breeder cage is equipped with the intelligent temperature control system

The temperature difference between the house fronts to the end is not more than that of 2 Celsius. This broiler breeder cage was engineered with a cage stand and reinforces feeder trough support in heavy galvanized steel every 4 feet on every tier. This cage is created with fully automated system, which increases efficiency and lower labour cost. All H-frame cage systems are equipped with polypropylene manure deflectors to a bottom pit, without maintenance required until the end of the flock cycle

Components

1. Feeding line and drinking line

For bell drinkers, as for feeder pans on a line, the rim-to-rim distance between the drinkers should be 90.0m, so that birds may walk unimpeded to the nest. Any obstruction here will also result in floor eggs and the drinking line are placed on the slats, the distance between the lines must be 90.0m, as should the distance between the feeder line and the rim of the drinkers. The last line on the slats should be 60.0m minimum from the edge of the slat. At this distance, birds can eat from the line (30.0m), and two birds can pass each other (2.0 x 15.0m), without being forced off

2. Lightening system

Lighting is a parameter that is always considered in poultry farming, including the breeder farm, it is recommended that the first days where chicks are received and reared, most of the day should be with the lighting of 60 to 100 lux. With time, a gradual decrease of lighting both in time and intensity is made. Lighting at an early age favors feed consumption, development of the immune system and the digestive system. At two weeks of age, lighting should be provided for 8 hours a day. In addition, it is important to verify that the lighting is uniform throughout the house. This lighting is maintained until 20 to 21 weeks where the birds will move from rearing to production

3. Exhaust fan system (ventilation)

The amount of air of an exhaust fan moves depending on the shape of the blades, diameter of the blades, horsepower (hp) of the motor, speed at which the blades turn (rpm), design of the shroud and also other attachments such as louvers. The air moving capacity of a fan is depends on these combined factors. Cubic feet, or volume, of air moved per minute (cfm) fan capacity is measured

A: Broilers need to be housed in a clean and dry environment. The broiler pen needs to have some form of protective siding (such as 1-inch chicken wire), a roof, ventilation, a form of heating (brooders or heat lamps), and feeding and watering equipment

A: If the poultry house temperatures range around 75 degrees, you won't need a heat lamp past week four. But in barns or garages, which may run 60 degrees, chicks need supplementary heat until they are fully feathered at six weeks of age
