2. What Is A Battery Cage System For Brooders?

A battery cage system for brooders is a housing setup made specially for young chicks. It is built with steel mesh cages arranged in rows and tiers. 

Each unit has a feeder for balanced food, a drinker line for clean water, and a manure system to keep the floor dry. 

The design keeps chicks warm, safe, and evenly spaced, preventing crowding. Unlike layer cages, it has no egg belt, since chicks do not lay eggs yet. 

This system helps farmers save space, reduce disease risk, and grow uniform, healthy pullets ready for the laying stage.

This cage is tall and compact, built in stacked blocks. The frame is made from hot-galvanized steel, strong against rust and wear. 

Each tier has its own feeder line, drinker line, and waste belt. It allows up to 8 tiers, saving space and offering high bird capacity.

(1) Automatic Feeding System

• Material: steel Feed silo, auger, chain Feeder

• Working Principle: Feed moves from the silo along the chain. Each pan get the right amount. Birds eat at the same time, so they grow evenly

(2) Automatic Drinking System

• Material: Water tank, PVC pipes, nipple drinkers

• Working Principle: Water flows through pressure regulators and nipple outlets, keeping it clean.

(3) Manure System

• Material: Manure belt

• Working Principle: Droppings fall on belts and are carried outside automatically.
